the final version will have hq support, this version had an G_modelindex: error while playing the hq gametype. i still have to figure out what causes it but i;m going to make it work[casanova]

map looks great. some comments, dont take it personaly.


I have it running on our server. Everyone complaining about lag. Runs very poorly with a full server. Portals?

Also, spawn points in buildings with narrow doors makes for a cluster of players fighting to get out of the door. one nade in there and its all over.

I find also, that having a way to circle the map on the outside (like a road or field) makes for more dynamic play. I would say that to anyone making a mp map.

It looks really good tho.

thnx for the feedback stain,

i have portalled about half of the map and i will fully portal the map in the final version. i will take a look at the spawnpoints, can you give me some info which spawnpoints need to be replaced?

and i will probaly extend the map a bit so you can take another route from the allied spawn to the main road.

Overall a great job, some general comments:

I noticed one of your doors blocks direct access and you need to jump to get past it



Also in a lot if instances your plants are showing through the interior walls of your buildings



I found about ten instances where this happens, doesnt affect gameplay in anyway, but I thought I would mention it.

The only other comment, is purely personal, I prefer maps that soften the new feel, possibly the smoke/dust affects could be dispersed more horozontially to create a less bright/clean environment (more mere-egliese style) rather than straight up. Either that or possibly lesses the sun and make the atmosphere a little duller, like late afternoon. (Just my two cents worth)

I have to disagree with it coz it strongly affects the fps, and this maps is already demanding many resources, with it it could become almost unplayable [ohwell]

Each to their own, I prefer to be able to '//' effects in the iwd rather that no have them at all. It also I thinks depends on the individuals ps specs, I average around 85fps without it being an issue, with some pretty heavy map effects running in some maps. [jumping]

i don;t know if i'm gonna add more fx maybe 2 or 3 but more then that will affect the fps too much, i can now run around in the map and have almost everywhere around 100 fps (dx7 highest settings) i know there are 2 spots where i have 80 fps but that is still very playable for me =)

btw my pc specs are:
amd atlhon64 3500+
geforce 6600GT 256 ddr3
1gb ddr ram

we had it on our server, but were getting alot of gamestate errors on join. Took it off for the interim.
