Yes use the "sunlight" in the worldspawn to light your map not any of the settings i posted.

the "sundirection" in your worldspawn is the direction the sunlight is shining not an actual position of the sun. Yes you could find the position using a brush like the radios in HQ. Make sure you use "sundirection" in the worldspawn that matches your skybox texture, otherwise your sunlight could be coming from the wrong direction. worldspawn settings can be found here http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-296.html

Here come the sun.. dadada
ok first thank you for help, but i was wondering how do i get different sky, i only get one in my textures, and its a rainy or grey sky, and its not what i want, because my map is sunny.
Then i still dont understand something, because when im walking thru my map, i m changing color, like green, dark green, then dark brown, then almost black,... what i did wrong??
maybe i made a new sun!! chameleon sun!!! [jumping][lol][ohwell]

The other skies don't have a thumbnail in the texture window.. but they are there.. just click on the empty space...

As for the chameleon effect...
Some people managed to solve it by placing a model in their map
some people have solved it by placingh a model in their map through the collmaps..
some people have solved it by running CoD2 in DX9....

sorry to bump an old thread, but it contains what I'm looking for but am uncertain.

I understand that the worldspawn settings determines the direction, color, and how bright your map is, but does the sun file determine it's origin?

Here is my issue. I made a huge map...REALLY huge. Unfortunately I started off creating it from 0,0,0 and now the other end of the map is way, way, way off in a direction.

If I put in a sun file, will that determine the location of the sun and then work off the worldspawn settings for the direction and intensity?
