I first read the Bens_Small_Bible_of_Realistic_Multiplayer_Level_Design.pdf back in January and while a bit long winded I did think it was a very good read. In fact it was just after reading it that I drew up the plan for the level I'm working on for the contest.

PS3 is too much, in the last episode they said the console might kill off PC. but at the rate console is going, people will eventually find out if you buy your computer in pieces and put it together (not a kit...not wal-mart brand either lol) it is much cheaper...do i smell a stand off?

sure it's cheaper and you can customize the contents. However, we live in a plug-n-play world. It seems that the number of people who actually build their own equipment is dwindling. They would rather buy something, plug it in, and play. Therefore, the console market will eventually prevail because of this.

The reasons for this are too many to mention. to name just a few:
- it's easier
- there aren't as many smart people out there as you think there might be
- they are easier to maintain
- easier to purchase for the family
- requires less thinking because the device doesn't do more than you can imagine
- easier integration into your current entertainment system.
