Is there any way I can freeze a texture or something. When I go to place, for instance, a window, I can only place them in certain areas without having part of the texture not show. The same with things like building trim. How can i make it so the textures dont move as i resize the brush, or can i not do that...... [confused]

try working with 'computer friendly' values for the size of your brushes (ie: powers of 2 such as 32, 64 etc because that the dimensions of the textures). to reposition your texture use the surface editor ('S' key) or hold down the 'Alt' key while clicking on the surface in the 3D view and mouve your mouse around.

When you have a texture fitting in nicely, if you move it around it will stay that way (actually, when you move any brush around, its texture position will move along). On the opposite: if you resize it, the texture will stay to its global texture position and so any 'nicely fitting' state will be lost (but it can be handy to have say brick brushes all using the same value for their texture, so that you don't see any seem in between brushes: you then copy-paste brushes and change their size to move them instead of actually dragging them as a whole).

I think that covers it all for what you can do in Radiant reg. textures.

PS: so to reply more concisely, textures don't automatically fit the size of your brush, same goes when you resize. use the above methods plus the 'Fit' button in the surface editor to get what you want.
