i actually found that most of the problems i was having lied in the installation of the sdk update. I have been working with the original 1.0 version and it hasnt given me any problems to date. So far Sdk has been workin fine.....[casanova] :P

the updates to the sdk are not to the radiant program itself so thats not going to cause any new problems with it, it does get buggy sometimes but clearing the registry does fix the problems.

two qestions about this...
1. i am using gtk 1.3.7 -dev and seems okay as long as synaps.config is edited. i flush and reload textures when looking for a certain one and basicly have trestart id after finding it or else white textures are displayed, or old textures shown with new loaded set.

2. is there anything peticular for mandown, full metal rocket, phoenix mods i should be aware of for mapping purposes? (I don't play too much unless i working on a map, and i released one way too soon)

Try this. Go to Textures and choose Flush and Reload Shaders. That removes all the textures except the ones used.
Backup Your Work or your Work will be gone.

when mapping for mods you need to know certain things -- like in ctf there needs to be flags in the map, etc. also you need to have a .def file for that mod to use the new entities.

theres a def file for mandown in the top section of the forum here.

what kind of (new) entities are there that i would have to know about(really asking where is information to look at about it). I understand about different gametypes (dm tdm ctf inf dem and so on), but not sure how mandown actually changes gameplay, as far as mapping..
