i just got a new cpu now with hyperthreading. just want to know if patch 1.2 already has the patch for hyper threading or do i need to scrub the current installation re-install and apply patch 1.01 and then 1.2 or leave it as it is?

patch 1.2 has everything and more that 1.01 had so you do not need to install 1.01,as stated in the 1.2 readme which i guess you never read.

Maybe you need reinstall your system (XP or 2000 or higher) to make hyperthread feature working.

I think you will find there is an option in the bios setup? Else open up the Task manager and check that you have two cpu's showing in the performance section, check that you have one graph per cpu checked in the options. hope that helps Starlight

currently the cpu is not installed and the option to configure the cpu is greyed out so i cant do anything at the moment until i get me fan proper
