Lol, alright will do. Anyway I noticed some more errors now that I am looking at it. You can see out of an area, a tree is in the ground causing bad lighting, there are some overlapping terrain, and some spot that are sticking through on the road. I have fixed all of them but the road. Could you tell me what compile setting you used, I was going to try one more time to do a full compile to see if I can actually fix these errors. They are really bugging me[lol]. I need to fix them, I can't release a map with errors, I am a perfectionist. Anyway thanks again Grassy!

Heheheh fair enough, here is the batch file I used.

Quote:
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\UOTools\bin\Q3map.exe" -game uo "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\uo\maps\mp\Reusville.map"
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\UOTools\bin\Q3map.exe" -vis -fast -v -game uo "C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\uo\maps\mp\Reusville.map"
pause
"C:\Program Files\Call of Duty\UOTools\bin\flare.exe" -extra -verbose -game uo "C:\Program Files\game\uo\maps\mp\Reusville"

pause

Did you use CODUO maker to compile it? Thanks for telling me the settings, maybe it will work now. I have been working on my PC a bit, so I am hopeful.

Is there something wrong with CODUO maker? Should I try the other way, I have never attempted it?

No lots of others use it ok, I'm just a stubborn old bugga that likes to things my way, and once I find a stable way of doing things I stick with that method. [biggrin]

To do it with a batch file you need ntfs partition and use the junction tool to create a link. See the tutes for more info on it.

With a batch file you:

- Never have to worry about clicking on the wrong setting and wasting 4 hours

- You can try different things, commenting out old ways, leaving yourself a breadcrumb trail of what you tried

- Always get the same results

(Not to mention other fringe benefits like auto-backups, building distribution ZIP files or PK3s, etc. or even paging you when it finishes compiling.)

Thanks for telling me Wuphons! Ethier way neither the batch file, nor CODUO Maker work for me on extra settings. Thankfully Grassy is compiling for me![wave]

It's being done as we speak [casanova]

I was just trying a few things while compiling, I opened task manager and increased the priority of the dos batch task but it didnt seem to make a lot of difference to the compile speed.
My cpu is a hyperthread unit, so I'm wondering if you could do a dos compile outside of the windows environment, this should allow 100% cpu time to the task.
Any ideas?
