i saw those texture packs and im gonna download them. i might need to. but i need a grass texture thats solid. much like normandy/ground/grass@lp_brecort1a but without as many dark spots ya know? sumone said i should give it more of a battlegrounds type of feeling to it but i put that on and it looks too much like its repeating itself. i will do sum alpha stuff and all but im just wondering if anyone has what i need. like. possibly 2+ textures that are different and when they are put together they look like one texture but the darkened spots are different. that would help with the repeating.

i know stupid post but this map is due by 11pm saturday. i set that with a clan. this is kinda a last resort with making this thread. i sure hope i dont get flammed. im sry for such a ridiculas post. but i know nothing of custom texture making. i use fireworks but i dont know all that much about making grass looking textures as good as i see other people.

THANKS EVERYONE!!!

.....hope i get map turned in on time. its a 6 hour compile.

Make your own. There are custom texture tutorials in the CoD section.

Alpha blending cures a lot of ills, especially in places where repetitive patterns are visible. You could blend that grass by overlaying another, alpha, texture on top and blending it in a semi-random fashion. That will distract the eye from the geometric reptition.

caretaker. do they have to be .tga? i cannot make those as i do not use photoshop. i find that program rather difficult. i got this Fireworks thing. well at least im not sure if i can make that file type. i dont see it anywhere in the extentions of Save As or Export.
