I`ve got a Problem with my CoD2 Map Editor:

Yesterday I watched the mapping Tutorial Video, which was released here and after that I tried to do exactly the same as seen in the video.
But the Problem is, I cannot see textures in the 3D view, even not the caulk texture. Instead of this, I only see white wireframe lines. Sometimes the walls have a red transparency.

Here a screenshot

Even if i klick on the Hollow button, it doesn`t change:

Klick

Even if I try to open the test map, i do not see textures:

Klick

I even can not see the radius of a light in the 2D view.
Can someone help me with that problem?

go to textures>render method and change the wireframe
hmm think I am wrong cause I saw only the first screen but those lines are there because you are in the brush

Make sure you've installed the latest DirectX9c drivers and make sure you've got a video card which actually supports DX9.

Well I have got a Geforce 4 Ti 4200.
I can play CoD2 in DX7 Mode without any Problem, but I cannot enable DX9 Mode cause it is a DX8 Card.
Does that mean I need a Card which can be used in DX9 mode to work with the Radiant, even though I can play the game without any problems?

yes.

DX7 support was just so you could play the game even if you didn't exactly meet the minimum requirements.

I got this problem as well. I mapped out my map and used caulk texture for all my wall. Even thing was fine and looking good so I saved it and went to dinner. When I open it back up I could not see any walls in the 3D window. I made a big block going around the map and select all walls. I re-texture them with caulk and went back to work. No matter what I do the map will do this ever time I open my map. I have DX9c and I know it not my video card because when I open the mp_test map that came with the editor I see all textured wall in the 3D window.

Any one got a clue ?

Well, i looked at the system requirements of the modding tool, because i couldnt believe that and so i found something very interesting:

"SUPPORTED CHIPSETS: - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 8500 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9000 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9200 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9500 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9600 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9700 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X300 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X550 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X600 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X700 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X800 - ATI(R) Radeon(R) X850 - NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) 2 Ultra - All NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) 3/Ti Series - All NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) 4/Ti Series - All NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) FX Series - All NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) 6 Series - All NVIDIA(R) GeForce(tm) 7 Series"

That means exactly that I CAN use the editor with my graphics card.
So there has to be another explanation for my problem, but what????

Double check your settings because thats what is looking like. Just a setting in a wire frame or something. And I mean the view settings

The editor and compiler require DX9c. If your card doesn't support it, you're out of luck.

And the screenshots look like your card doesn't.
