No.. .zip files means you didn't install anything. Did you actually download the DX9 installer or just a developer package or something?

i installed it but the compiler still doesnt work when i press compile this thing pops up saying that it cant find a file try reinstalling it yes i did download it edited on Apr. 25, 2006 06:48 pm by benoneflying

My .net frame is up to date and I have the latest version of dx9 and im still getting errors. Here is the exact error: d3dx9_27.dll was not found

Search for the filename on the forums, and you'll find the fix, there already was a problem like this.

search your computer for that file, its probally just not located in the right place for this to work, copy and paste it to windows/system file i think
