i am confused on getting my map to start from the start server list. i did follow the tutorial. currently working on 2 maps. they both support DM. so theres DM spawns in both. there is 1 in one map and 12 or so in the other map as that one is more completed. well i open up my game and hit "start new server" and i select the gametype DeathMatch and the map with 1 spawn loads up (called town blowout) while my map with more spawns (called EstateAttack) doesnt load up.

both maps appear in the lists. but i click on TownBlowout and hit start and it loads. i select EstateAttack and nothing happens. the game just stays at that screen as if i didnt select a map...and i did select the map. the .arena files are exactly the same except the different map names are in there. i copy/pasted the .bsp from estate attack to townblowout so the townblowout map has a copied version of the bsp but thats the one that works.

i tried to explain as best as i could. i have looked. i have replaced spawn points and still the estateattack does not work. i see no difference in the map other then the estateattack is done, its just it does not work from the list in game....HOWEVER, i can go to console and type in map EstateAttack and then the map loads but only for DM.

If it only loads for DM, this means you have the arena file to set correct.

thats not the problem. the problem is that i cannot start estateattack from the list but i can indeed start townblowout from the list and it has the same BSP file and same arena file except for the arena the names are different.

set pure to no

tried that. but i can have pure set to yes and run my other custom map. mabye the newer one is special. but no, the pure setting didnt help.

it might have a memory leak or summit, i dont kno bout them but ask caretaker
