hi, im working on my map and in the same time im getting as many good tutorials as possible, and today i already fixed the no spawn commands showing, by removing any mods from the folder, and i thought it might fix this too, but my problem is that, im testing the alpha channel terrain and i do everything as it shows in the tutorial, but when i hit Y the option dosnt show up or anything, it dosnt do nothing. so what do i do now? how do i fix it? i made terrain patches and i put some textures on them, do i need to change the texture to alpha or something so it will work? whats the deal , i think thats the right way,
1 make terrain patches
2. add textures
3 slelect the one that you going to subtract the color from, or make the terrain move up or down.
4 click on the Y to bring out the option, and in this step nothing is showing up, any help whould be great

Don't know, never encountered this in Radiant. The program isn't freezing up, is it?

As long as you follow the tutorials ( you can look back into the CoD and UO tut's for basic alpha blending, I'm sure it's the same for CoD2--there isn't anything new on blending out yet ) it's actaully pretty simple, making it look good just takes a little practice.

but im not sure about not being able to open the advanced patch edit dialog... are you using an all-standard usb or integrated interface keyboard?

yes but to blend the alpha textures together i need that option to put up and let me use it, heres an anwser i got from a guy on IW forums and he asked me if those thing happend to me, and the thing he said its all 100% that i got, here i will quote him
"When you press Y, does the main Radiant window lose focus? Watch the titlebar and see if it dims when you press Y. If so, it's possible that the window is appearing but is off the edge of your screen. I don't remember how to fix that if it's the case =\"

anyone herd of this thing happen to anyone else, or maybe fix to this? please help im ready ot make a map but without this i cant do any terrian to start with....

I have the same problem the advanced edit Dialog is opening by hiting "Y" but i cant see it.even if i go to Patch/Advanced Edit Dialog Y
