take a look at the custom texures tutorial i just put up, it should clarify your problem, and provide the solution

dds to iwi does not work

use the asset manager

as in custom texture do you mean the one in images folder


i like you tut.,. but how do i apply this knoledge to the loadscreen.
do i just save the dds as normal and convert usin the manager.
but obviously keeping it in the images folder.next to the map, mp and materials folder.

also in the tut. you save it as dxt3 with no mip maps, does this apply to loadscreen as well?

I DID IT!! thank you stryder so so so so much!! i had to edit a few of the settings for it to work on loadscreens. i could put up a tut if you want.

ummm for some reason...when i do this... it... crashes to desctop as soon as i try to load cod_mp up.... so.... its something up w/ the thing u put in the materials...

y is that it crashes to destop... when i remove the thing in the materials folder it dont crash but i dont get a loaing screnn..

you must use the asset manager but have it as the following

material type: world phong
sort: default
surface type: none
usage: not in editor


once you have converted it.. you can use it.[rocking]
