Gary's mod, the very popular physics mod for Half-Life 2, is going to be going commercial. Starting with the next release, you can purchase it through Steam for $10. If you want it for free, you can grab an earlier release. SteamReview has all the details as well as some user opinions. Is this good for Steam? Will it kill Gary's popularity? There are a lot of questions going into this move.

I think, with tall he work Garry & Co. put into this, it's only reasonable to make people pay a little bit for it.

A very popular and good mod. But i'm not sure if i will pay for a mod. Maybe i will when the new version has way more abilities, but if its almost the same i wont buy it.

I visited the link posted by Caretaker and read the links in the About section and have one question... What is Gary's mod? (The about section told me links to sites where i can dload stuff, but a nice simple explaination is all I want)
