Most games allow you to scale down your model..

I say.. make it.. use it ingame at a scale of 1... and then rescale it in maya if it's too big or to small.

Yes please! As a mapper, I prefer that models be appropriately sized in-game without needing to scale them manually.

one more thing, i cant find very good tutorials that go in a step by step. i saw tutorialized.com and those tutorials dont really give much information. as of now i am having a problem figureing out how to connect 2 polygons. i connect the verts but then in the front view it doesnt look right, the verts are not lined up to look like on long polygon. or is it possible to add in a section of verts? im needing to create a chopper. the way im doing it is i hit the polygon tab and i click the "polygonal pipe" shape thing and then i extend it. i then click it 2 more times. i rotate them i believe 90 degrees then i move one polygon to the end and one to the other end. i need to connect them together so theres no gaps. then i can create the windows from the front polygon. the tail from the other and the main body from the long one. then i would need to repeat that for the landing gear and such but you get what im trying to do.

mabye im supposed to make them overlap. i dont know. im used to milkshape 3D. ;p and i kinda like my verts to look good so i dont connect the tail to the window. hahaha.

so, if anyone knows of a easier way of doing this then plz let me know....remember, im a noob to this program. so ya might have to dumb it down. or possibly a tutorial would work from either you or a website. once i get this program figured out i was gonna make tuts for it to put on this site.
