Hello All!

I have been thinkin about getting and SLI motherboard... i have 150 dollars and i know its not enuf i just need an about price.. i want to be able to run cod2 on the best gfx.. dx9 1024x1280 res textures high x4 antialiasing and anisotropic filter etc.. i currently have a nvidia geforce 6800 256mb and it runs pretty good on 1024x768 on dx7 trilinear texture sets on extra but i want it all.. ive never had SLI.. and do u think hooking up 2 6800 geforces would make this possibel>=?

If you can get some more cash trying getting the 7900GT (est $300-$350). It's priced ALOT lower than the 7800GTX and just about the SAME performance. It's fast and quiet, and it should hold you thru for next generation games.

I have 7800GT's in SLI and I run CoD2:
Res: 1280x1024
DX-Render: 9
Textures: Extra
AA: 2x
Texture Filter: Trilinear

I average 50-60 FPS.

lol ... i want tops... not just trilinear i mean anisotropic.. and so is the 7800 or 7900 better? i am willing any price... if i got a SLI (meaning 2 gpu's) of 7800 or 7900 wat would hold longer, as in generations of games.. like 2 7900 gt's on SLI.. i want at least 100 fps.. ya know :) i want a price average.

That's like $1400, I'd just get one GTX, that should be good enough for now to play everything maxed out and have a good FPS count for the games now and next generation.

My FPS is kind of low due to the DX render I use =oP If I use DX7 I get in the 100s, but I love the eye candy of using DX9. =oD

k then so u want the best $150 dollars aint gunna get you any where for an absolutely besaty computer.

heres the low down to get an ace computer in ur hands:

you wonna get these items:
an sli mother board(the ones with the most ports etcetera)
as much RAM as the board can take (try kingston and u wonna be in the gigabyte not megabyte stages)
a top notch processor (duel core i think u call em)
an absolutely ace power supply to keep things under wraps n stop em from metling lol
a rather gd case to keep it tidy lol
2 of the best graphix cards

in total ur looking over $1500

btw i am from the uk so over here its about £1300 and more

i get about 200 $ a year but i mite get me a job which means 18000 a year.. im 14 remember and i don't have bills or taxes so im free with the money i would get :) i want the BEST PC i can get.. my mom will yell at me and say its a waste of money but w/e

My advice:Just go with one 7900 GTX.
You hardly notice the difference in most games.
