i know it does. like i said in my previous post:

Rename your map and try to compile it again.

you might want to add more worldspawn settings.. like lightcolor etc. Check out the tutorial in the CoD section.

i added a bunch of worldspawn settings from chateau and i think i fixed the ambient problem (i put in .2 instead of 0.2). BUT, it still hangs. so i dont know if it is just this program or what is wrong.

Well.. with my .bat file it compiles if I enter the worldspawn settings.. so.. have you actually tested your map ingame yet?

how do i launch the map file to play in the game without using codmaker? i think i know how to set up the .bat file, but where do i go after that? do i make a new pk3?

1) make sure your .bsp file is located in the folder /uo/maps/mp
2) start UO
3) go to "create server" and select pure "no"
4) open console by pressing the ~ key
5) type /map yourmapname
6) play.

sweeeeeeeet. thanks alot for all of your help caretaker. ill use this method for now. i just figured the coduomaker program would have been easier to use and launch the game from. oh well. thanks again! [tongue]

If you click launch from the main window it will launch the file for you with all the settings.
