hello

i am trying to set up coduomaker,
when i go to compile it scans the map and then does nothing

but it puts a bat file on my desk top....

the settings are as follows

c:\program files\call of duty\uotools\bin Q3MAP/FLARE

c:\program files\call of duty\uo\maps SPMAP directroy

c:\program files\call of duty\uo\maps MP MAP directory

is there anything ive done wrong here ??

The directories seem ok, as long as you have call of duty installed on drive C?

Make sure you have the 'flare work around' option ticked! You will also need to create the 'game' folder which can be done from the options menu

Should be: c:\program files\call of duty\uo\maps\mp

i'm having the exact same problem. i checked and rechecked all of the file paths and followed every tutorial i could find. after i click build and then start, it runs through all of the compiling stuff and then after i hit any key, it returns to the window with "start" and "cancel" at the bottom and just hangs there.

Post your compile log.

I've never used CoDUOMaker, I use the .bat file, so I've got no idea what the window with "start" and "cancel" is. :p

you need to add a dm_intermission too..

and the error from your compile log is

sunlight = 1.1
ambient = 0

No lights

Thuis might be down to not having entered an ambient value in your worldspawn.

ok, i added a deathmatch intermission and added a ambient setting of 0.15 to the worldspawn. but it still does the same thing. i noticed that when i compile, it still says that the ambience is 0. is there a different way of adding ambience? i just opened up the worldspawn (hitting N) and then entered "ambient" and "0.15" and hit enter.

also, i've mostly been following wyatt's video tutorials on comiling and the reason i didnt have an ambient setting is because he says to leave it out for reasons that he'll explain later. he didnt have an ambient setting and his compiled fine using this utility. so, i dont know what is up with this. [banghead]

it still says your ambient setting is 0.
