Check you firewall configuration!

What?! What is there to check?!?! I think that my configurations are O.K.

Is somebody has the IP to your computer then they have access to it unless there path is blocked. Therefore if somebody has the IP for your computer and still cant join they are being blocked by a firewall, make sure your firewall is configured to allow connections to the port being used!

you have to get into your router setup page.. you normally do this through your web browser... the instructions should tell you how to do this.. and make sure you have port 28960 as unblocked or allowed or something like that...

the simplest thing to do is google your routers make and model and configure call of duty

for example:

DLink DI-624 configure call of duty brings up this result

most router mfgs have something similar

I did that with the router but it still doesn't works... Do i have to turn OFF my Windows Firewall??

IP ADDRESS
A simple way to get your IP address is to visit www.whatismyipaddress.com with the computer that's running the server. Unless you have special proxies or stuff setup, you'll get the right IP there.

ROUTER / FIREWALL CONFIGURATION
The BEST site for configuring your firewall is www.portforward.com - They have darn near every router, and a whack-ton of tutorials of how to set your firewall for each program. Step by step with pictures. If you ever have a program that isn't working online and you can't figure out why? Check that site, it'll set you straight.
