well im still having trouble getting sounds to work in my map..[confused]
when i had one sample to test the idea it worked top and bottom.
now when im trying to play different sounds it dont work so can anyone answer:-

1. i have a sound script model in my map at bottom of lift shaft. Can i use this to play the door open sound, the door close sound, and maybe another sound? as long as each has a csv file.

2. do i only have to have one sound script_model in each location a sound plays, or do i need one for each different sound sample that plays?

3. do i need a mapname.csv file in the soundaliases folder as well as a csv for each sound sample?
4. in the lift gsc file where i assign the sound script_model, do the bits in red have to be diff in each lift gsc file? (As each lift call button has its own gsc file). As in

sound1 = getent("lift1top","targetname");
sound2 = getent("lift1bottom","targetname");
sound3 = getent("elevatornoise","targetname");

the triggered sounds are also called in the map gsc file so they should play.
i think as i have a looping sound that plays with no problems, i may have some other errors in the map somewhere that are stopping these one working...

thanks[ohwell]

1 each sound needs a diffrent script_model

2 read above

3 you can combine evrything together the yourmapname.csv

all samples and stuff can be inthere

4you can use the same sound several times i nseveral gsc files but getting all gsc files together could make it easier

then you can make a thread that plays the sound and call on that thread (just a basic idea for the functioning of that ask a scripter)
