The Call of Duty mapping contest over at Modbase.be was just cancelled. There weren't enough entrants to warrant a full contest, but there are plans to try again at a later date. Check the website for more information.

We will add some contests like prefab of the week.
You wont win something, but you will be placed in the news.
Maybe later we will work together again with modsonline.com for a bigger contest and the you will be able to win something.

Well if you do start it back up again, you need to make sure you have a clear set of rules. I know with Modscon 06, you can't enter a map that you have already published to the public, but there is alot of time to do this competition. If you do decide to start it up, allowing mappers to submit maps they have already given out would get your numbers out, you just need to make sure that you get the .map with it.

Prizes are great....but I might enter it just for a T-shirt[lol],,
I just want to know where I stand with a few of my releases.
I dont hear too many negative comments, but I prefer to cater toward the S&D crowd So my maps are generally pretty wel l rounded and large enough for a 48 man server.
Currently working on one for a 48 man that is focussed on TDM i suppose (for the SMGers)...we'll see.
Set to release BETA version on 10-78 tonight! [thumbs_up]

However, my maps are NOT done "correctly"...but they play well with little or no lag...
I use very little portalling, and I refuse to go into great detail with the buildings and such - as most players dont stop to take in those breath taking views or the intricate detail of the crown moulding...LOL.

Well, I must be an exceptional case [casanova] Whenever I fire up a new map I allways wander around admiring how people have made/designed there maps. When you get down to playing it...Minor detail is a distraction. I don't know how many times I've stopped to admire a view and got clubbed in the back of the head [banghead]
