Some COD2 updates from Grant Collier.

As you recall, back in December, we announced plans to incorporate Punkbuster, as well as offer some MP maps to the PCversion for Call of Duty 2. We’re happy to report that this PC updateis currently in testing and all is going well. In fact, we are testingthese now and will be releasing them soon, so stay tuned. With regardsto the update, here are a few things to look forward to:



Punkbuster functionality
Two new multiplayer maps.
HTTP redirect in multiplayer, which adds an option for modders to sendplayers to an external website to download their maps and mods.
Repair of multiplayer exploits and minor bug fixes


We’re also putting finishing touches on the map editing tools for the game and will have those out very soon as well.

What does minor fixes mean Call of Bug2
need a lot of Fixes they never finnished the PC-GAME
Call of Duty2

1.Sound (can t hear the direction & distance where the shootin is comin from ,cklickin of own weapon )

2.Grafik (Kits are hangin in air and rotating deadbodys in air or on wall hanging )

3.Gameplay (can snipe and nade Spawners on a S&D Map , can t nade bash & bion. bash anymore ,Shotbox u take cover and die in replay u never did take cover ? lean bug first comes the whole back around the corner ? and so on and on )

4.Map-fixes (can glitch under St.Mere and all that stuff)

5.there are alot of stuff to add but its to sad to tell it all

and should create for us sum reflections on water and glass and mirrors instead of Console Icons over the whole F***ing HUD
that shows the Enemy and deads and so on what a GamplayKiller
for real
I will do Maps for CoD and UO ,to think about doin a Map for CoB2 only makes me sad
But nice to have PB and stuff and very nice they take more care
for PC MP (hope for CoD3 too)

How about Brecourt ... what a useless map, foliage for cover anyone?? YOU MUST BE JOKING! At long range the foliage is semi-see through making it so easy to kill people. Anyone thinking of making a long range tactical sniper map with foliage should just give up now.. how sad the didnt get the view/load distance right for models

I hate the imitation HDR bloom effects in CoD2 because they make the edges of brushes and models transparent and the further away you get the worse it looks... Causes a hell of a lot of problems on maps like Brecourt... IW really didnt think that one through...
