LCD Monitors have continued to drop in price and nowadays, you can find a 20”1680x1050 LCD for under $400. It turns out that these low-pricedmonitor aren’t as good of a bargain as you may expect. a hd film is 1240 by 786 pixels my monitor is 1240 by 1024 pixels like most monitors

and even with the higher res or hd movies surely u can just sknrik the image to fit on your monitor and just lose the odd pixel

if media players can stretch/enlarge a image to fit your screen (fullscreen a dvd for example) why can they not do the reverse and shrink a higher res image to fit your screens pixels

if i cannot play a hd film on my monitor thats bullcrap as i have it as part of my entertament system (monitor is also a tv)
