yes, it's worth buying. I think it's still the most beautiful game out there. The gameplay could have felt a little bit less linear, but the engine is outstanding. If I were to start a mod of my own, it would definitely be on that engine.

As for couter strike source... it's the same game on the new engine. Nothing really new there.

Half Life 2 was the first Valve game I bought. I had no idea what Half Life was and what kind of game it would be. Honestly. I started it and didn't leave my PC until most of it was completed. It's a great game to play and the game physics are amazing, check out the 'Chain Reaction' article posted today to see the game physics.

Counter Strike: Source is very nice, in my opinion, the most popular Valve game out there. It's definatley worth buying.

sarcasm possibly, but to tell ya, your processor is good enough.

ask me, the Half life 2 death match is boring. same thing no matter what server you go to. the counter strike source. there is about 3 gametypes, dm and tdm (custom i think) and then the classic search and destory. nice game type. its a great game if you dont mind a lot of bunny hoppers.

as for the engine. its perfect. great graphics. doesnt take much to get them either. a lot of updates unfortunatly but those dont usually take that long
