Another simple question, and I thank everyone that has answered my questions so far, you've gotta learn somewhere right?

This isnt a problem so much as an inconvenience. Is there a way I can hide all the terrain meshes I've made (I prefer setting the terrain up first) so I can see what I'm doing when I begin to construct the buildings and such?

Is there a way to save individual buildings? If there is I can make a building in another page and save it then import it.

-- Thanks.

hey,

First, to hide terrain meshes i dont think you can, but press 'F' in Radient and a box will come up. Test each one out but i dunno if terrain meshes are in there.

Secondly, to save a house, or anything for that matter, select ALL of what you want saved like the house etc. then do this.

EDIT ->>> Save selection as prefab...

Give it a filename and then select where to put it, and there you go, one saved house[thumbs_up]

Do it the way Pop said to...I build my houses, etc in another map then save as prefab in a folder on my desktop for ease of grabbing.

When I want to use the prefab I go select it and bingo inmap it is.

To answer your question about hiding the terrain you just need to add a new layer (naming it whatever your working on. Then go to the layer menus and deselect visible and selectible, making sure that your new layer stays as the active one. I use layers quite a bit and find them useful, especially when you get a lot of stuff in your map and it goes slow moving around. Hope this helps

Well yeah, or you can just press "f" to see the radiant filter. I believe that terrian is one of things you can filter. That's kewl about the prefab I never knew, but when you load a prefab in a map, can you move brushes around in the prefab, or is it stuck as one entity (or maybe it is stuck, but can you ungroup the prefab and edit?).
