Hey everyone. I've just started mapping a few days ago and I just finished making my first house. I've successfully compiled it (i hope [ohwell]) and now when I go to try it out in CodUO, it doesn't work. I do as the tutorial says, which is type /map NAMEOFMYMAP, and it says it cannot find the .bsp file in .../maps/mp folder? I have checked and there is a .bsp file there. I did option 2 in the compiling tutorial in the CODUO mapping section. Here's my compile log:

it says no lights .... did you add worldspawn values in it ?? and lights ?

I did add a spawn point... and as far as I know I put a light in there right in the middle of the house... but then again I might have accidently gotten rid of it... would no light be the cause of it not working?

Hey and welcome to the most fun youll have in years [lol]

Ok, if there is a problem with the compile try using CoD Builder:

Using it is simple enough. Get your map file, place it into maps --->>MP folder. then go into CoD Builder and select your map name from the list, if it doesnt appear, hit 'Refresh' and then see. After selecting your map hit 'Build' and then hit 'OK'. Leave it to do its job and then try playing the map then.

not to be nitpicky, and i really dont know much, however, when i was watching the tutorial it said to make sure 'game' was spelled LOWER CASE, not Game. i dont know if that has anything to do with it, but just a heads up

it really doesn't matter if it is lowercase or not, as you can see, the flare picked up no lights...so it works either way[thumbs_up]
