ok me and my friend were talking about making a map in MilkShape 3D just for kicks. but we probably wont but would it be possible to make a entire map as one huge model? if so how do you think it would run in the game?

lol sry this is kinda a stupid thing to ask but its interesting.

Collision could be an issue. You know the Clipping n such, but hey Im just speculating.Still a Unique Idea as far as I know.

Yes you could,

Me sure to mae a collmap for the whole model and everything should work just fine.

it would still require a skybox though.

As for the running.. it would depend on the size of your map/model.. remember.. models usually have alot more vertices..and because the whole map is just one model, portalling it won't work. So if the model has lots of verts... it will run very poorlt probably.

lol ya know, when im done i might make a very small graveyard map with it. just for kicks. so running wont be a problem since its small i guess. hahahaha, who needs mapping editors to make small maps when you got MilkShape? lol!

It is of course possible but there will be issues such as collision etc.

The other thing I remember from UT2K4 was that models would be lit differently by the engine and this may be something to consider again in CoD (but I don't know the details of how the engine works)
