how do u set rcon on ur own server?

In the serevr .cfg, add this command:



Now, when you start your server up, you can use rcon.

after i do that i can do /rcon say /rcon kick player?

for some reason

/Rcon say does not work

i havent tryed /rcon kick "player"

As a server admin myself i would recommend an Rcon tool such as:

Rcon4Cod 2

RconCommander -Very nice tool -#1

There are many out there but these 2 are the best

its really simple put in your IP to server and rcon password then connect it will show the list of players you just simply click on them once then hit Kick/Ban/Tempkick

Also there are more tools like changing maps, weapons, time limites, everything.

Hopefully this helps, its just a simple quick install then connect and simple as ALT TABing out of game to change a setting or kick some one.

Edit: there is also Send messages so in game it will say
Console: your message.

The correct way to write those commands are:

/rcon say ( with a small "r" and must be log as Admin )

/rcon login password ( to log as Admin )

The last one is:

/rcon clientkick xx ( xx is the number of the player )

I prefer to edit my shortcut to logon to server and rcon all in one. Saves time. Right click your shortcut, go into properties and enter this into target line:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" connect 000.000.000.000:28960 +rcon login password

Works for me.
