yeah another question that I forgot above, I tried to change the sound of a weapon by making a folder in my pk3 that was sound---> weapons and then from there do I need a folder for each weapon? and in the weapon file can I just change the name of the fire sound "file" to anything I want?

open pak0.pk3 and hit the BAR on in the MP folder. open that file in notepad. ok now the 7th or 8th line down u should see this

\meleeTime\0.95\dropTime\0.33\raiseTime\0.4\altDropTime\0.66\altRaiseTime\0\adsTransInTime\0.36\adsTransOutTime\0.43\adsZoomFov\55\adsZoomInFrac\0.42\adsZoomOutFrac\0.5
\adsOverlayShader\\adsOverlayReticle\none\adsOverlayWidth\220\adsOverlayHeight\220\adsBobFactor\2\adsViewBobMult\0.25\hipSpreadStandMin\1.25\hipSpreadDuckedMin\0.6

ok now i think you change the adsZoomInFrac number and all that stuff. if not then i remeber doing this before, i changed the number after somthing that had the word ZOOM in it. such as, ZoomIronSite (i just made up the "ZoomIronSite" line for a example) but as for a red dot, since i leave servers with a forced crosshair of any kind then i wouldnt kno.

Would this be why so many people get kicked by punkbuster?

probably, also theres a lot of servers who stream with PB and if you dont have the proper CoDUO 1.51 patch (aparently theres 3 different ones) then you will get kicked because of a glitch. also, remember, never ever take files/mod files in the pk3's or any other file. copy it first, then copy the entire .pk3 and then in the copy, put the modded file in place of the stock one and then switch the .pk3. im sure you already know this but i said it anyways just to be safe. i do it like that and haver never had a prob.

I did it for cod and uo a while back in a realism mod i made for myself. Its the fov value that i changed if i remeber right n i set it to 70 for all weapons as thats what the pistol had as stock (considering pistol already had no zoom)

im at work atm so i cant check so forgive me if im wrong

There's 3 values called adsZoomFOV adsZoomInFrac and adsZoomOutFrac

The first one is the field of vision which is the angle of your view on screen. A narrower angle lets you see farther but cuts out the peripheral view.
