My friend has been trying to get into mapping for call of duty united offensive and is progressing quite well, the only problem is that flare.exe has the following error when it tries to compile:

0 files in pk3 files
Filesystem call made without initialization

Now I have no idea how to change it's search path.
My computer had a similar problem where it searched in C:\Games\ for the uo and Main directories, but i just fixed this by copying uo and Main there so it found what it was looking for.

But I don't know how to set a search path in the first place.

Any help would be appreciated

Check out the compile tutorials in the CoDUO section. For the flare to work you'll need to do some stuff first.

I may just be blind but I can't find anything about setting the search path for flare

believe me its there .... its because the compiler is looking on the wrong spot for the right files lol
