I want to make an aim map with my friend but we don't want that it will be a spray map.. The question is: Is it possible to make a wall, which you can see and shoot trough, but where you can't walk through or throw grenades through? If it is possible plz post how.. thnx

not sure if it works but just give it a try

make a wall with a texture without the @ in the name (a nonsolid texture) and place a clip/player over it this will keep the playerers from going trough but let's the bullets go in only thing grenades ca npass 2 i think

k normally a solid texture exists out of a few parts

shadername (metal) @ texturename (greyfloor)

non solid have almost the same except they dont have the @ in the middle but just a "_" each texture without the @ is a non solid

Hey im squirt, i'm the friend kills is making the map with.. errr
you mean to make a wall of for example: ai_nopass, and then make another wall over that with the texture: clippplayer. Because if i do this, i have a little problem.. As soon as i unselect the clipplayer wall, it dissappears.. plz give me a sollution

go view > show/hide > and make sure that the players clips etc are selected

it aint working m8 :( the wall still dissappears :S and should i just place the clipplayer wall ontop of the otherone?

you don't need the first wall. Just make a brush with the clipplayer texture on it. Hit F to bring up your filter settings and make sure Clip is checked on it. For Grenades, I believe there is a common texture something liek clip_projectile or something like that.

instead of a wall why dont you use a mine field? or if its a snipeing map your looking for make houses with windows in the front that you cant get out of with no doors or lay down crawl spaces that you cant get over but you can lay under to snipe? maybe a castle with a tower with a turrent and some sniper rounds? maybe an elevator? but anyways just my 2 cents if you need any help just ask, but im new here 2 so im not that good yet


or go old style with a couple simple farm houses on each side with a fence accross infront of them so there is not many hiding spaces.
