I know I have started several topics on this before, but I think this is worth a new post, as I am about to start this all over again:

I am having problems with making a helmet.

First, I go into Milkshape, make my helmet.
Then I add a bone named TAG_HELMET.
This bone I now select. Then I select my helmet mesh. I then click Assign, to assign my bone to the helmet mesh.

Then I export it with the name gear_US_helmet_net

Then I go to Assetmanager, make a new entry, call it gear_US_helmet_net.

Then I save it with the same name and convert it.

Then I place the file gear_US_helmet_net from the game/main/xmodel, after of course, checking the date and time, so I am sure this is the new helmet that was just converted, in the pak0.pk3/xmodel folder and replacing the old gear_US_helmet_net

Then I start up COD and go to the mission Bastogne, as I know this mission starts out with soldiers using the helmet with that name.

My helmet appears in the game now - BUT ON THE GROUND!

If you cant describe how to do, could somebody please make a very, very simple "helmet" (just a box) and do what is needed to do to make this work, test it, and then sending it to me?
