press the "Print Scrn" key next to scroll lock on your keyboard.

then import it into MS Paint, PSP or photoshop then save it.

Just do what Janova said. When you press the "print scrn" button. It only takes a copy of your screen. Then you have to past it in a program like paint, photoshop,... And then you save it, in the program.

Too add- Holding "ALT" then pressing "PrintScrn" only captures the active window.... in this case just gradiant.

Take the screen shot with the Print Screen key and now open up your image editing service (whether it be microsoft paint, paint shop pro, photo shop, ect.). Now go to the top toolbar and right next to file, click on the "edit" option. It'll say something like "paste as new image" or something similar. So click on that and you screen shot will now come up. Save it where ever you like and I'd recomend saving it as a jpeg, not a bitmap or "paintshoppro" file or someting like that.
