Please! Help me!

I followed this tutorial about making a model:
http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-208.html

I wanted to make a helmet for the soldiers. But for making this as easy as possible, this "helmet" will just be a sphere.

Now I want this sphere to be placed on the top of the soldiers heads, like a helmet.

But after compiling it, it shows up on the soldiers feet. In fact, it shows up on the soldiers LEFT foot.

I have added a bone to it named "TAG_HELMET" which is the name I found by loading up the mp sample soldier that came with the COD tools, in Milkshape 3D.

But no matter where I place this joint on the sphere, whenever I replace the file gear_US_helmet in the pak0.pk3/xmodel/ and load the game, it shows up on the soldiers left feet. No matter where the join is on the sphere.

You can download my file here:

http://ostrenches.frac.dk/gear_US_helmet.get
When finish downloading, just remove the .get extension, place it in the pak0.pk3/xmodel/

Of course, make a backup of the gear_US_helmet first, as this will overwrite the original one.

Then you see what I mean.

The model is here:

Please help me!

i just started modeling but try renaming the joint as "Bip01 Head" that way it attaches it to the Head bone. at least thats what ive been doing. however, it always comes up sidewyas or whatever. what i did was import the foly or lowpoly head model and work off of that. i used the "Bip01 Head" joint from that one so eevrything turned out straight. if anyone has a better (perhaps proper) way, please let me know.

here is my first model:
THE CHEESE HAT!!!
note: thats the revolt mod and the airborne model that comes with the tools and a really crappy texture (i was still learning)
