OK, I have made a helmet for the soldiers using milkshape.
I have exported/converted it via the tools for COD.

It all looks fine when I load it in codradiant.

Then I place it in a zzz_something.pk3 in the folder xmodel with the name "gear_german_helmet"

But when I load the game I get an error that says the program needs to be closed down (the MFC application error in the Windows-dialogue box you know of).

WHAT IS WRONG HERE? COD gives me an error!

Then I rename it to helmet_german_africa, place it in the iw_13.iwd in xmodel and overwrite the original file (I have a backup of it).

Then I load COD2, and it works fine - except that for all the germans I applied the helmet to, are now invisible!!!

What the hell is going on here?

How do I place that damn helmet on the top of their heads and NOT making them invisible? OK, you could argue that COD2 needs other tools and that I cant just copy COD1 models into COD2. Well, but then tell me what I do about the first problem! COD2 makes the soldiers that got the new helmet invisible.
And COD1 close down.

Ok now I got it to work... But now the helmet is below their feet instead on the top of the head!

How do I make it show up on their heads instead of on their feet?
