Aight i'd appriciate if you guys could help me here, anyways, the problem is while im playing CoD2 for a while like lets say 10-20 minutes my computer starts going 'BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP' and keeps on going but it dont come out my speakers it comes like out of my computer, But if i go off CoD2 (quit playing) the beeping stops, but while in game if i keep going while its BEEPing, it usally reboots and goes right to a BLUE SCREEN, and then trys to start up windows but someimtes it fails and keeps trying it, so if you know any solutions for me to get that damn BEEPing to stop i'd appriciate it so much ALSO the rebooting, how i could maybe cool down my comp.

THanks! [sad]

what are your system specs? What settings are you trying to run the game at?

A friend has this same problem, it only occurs during CoD2.

I am waiting to get in touch with him but so far all enquiries point to a temperature problem.
It seems that a component (usually graphics card or CPU) is getting hotter and this triggers the alarm but the game runs fine.

Depending on how hot it gets you will either have persistent beeping or a shut - down.

The shut - down will only happen if you reach critical levels but if you are just at the threshold and not getting any hotter you will have the beeps.

So it seems that if you adjust your alarm thresholds in BIOS / Monitoring software a bit at a time you should be able to elliminate the beeps without jeopardising your hardware.

I hope this works for you and my friend.

Agree on the temperature diagnosis...the other solution to increasing your warning levels is to decrease the temperature.....more fans, better ventilation, rerouting cables, etc...

The details will be specific to your system.
Basically what I mean is your BIOS monitors the environment - system, motherboard graphics etc keeping an eye on temperatures and voltages etc.
You may have two levels, critical and warning.
For example your CPU may alarm at 70C (beeps) and go critical at 75C (shutdown).
By raising the alarm level you may eliminate the problem without causing damage, this will be fine if you are hovering just above the threshold but if something is getting way too hot you will have to invest in hardware / upgrade to lower your temps as qrz said.
Once you identify which component is causing the problem you can decide how far you want to push it but the threshold is there for a reason, going too far could result in damage.

Regarding CPU.

Google for CPUidle Extreme which will lower your CPU temp by an average 10C.

Hopefully someone a bit more tech - savvy will pick this up and help.

Are you trying to OC your video card or CPU? If so, you may need to bring it back down or add some more cooling sources such as fans. Try leaving the side of your case off. See is you still get the error!

EDIT: Also if your confident about going into your computer, i found a problem a while back was the thermal bond they use on you CPU fan can get worn away and by re-newing it can really make a difference! Try taking your CPU fan off and have a look!
