You cannot submit your map to the public or anyone else until the contest.

I have a question, the answer to which I have not seen elsewhere. Even though the maps entrants submit must include the .map file and will be released to the public (without the .map file of course) in a Modscon06 map pack the entrants sill retain "ownership" of the maps correct?

How do you mean "ownership"?

Yes, you've still got the map file too, you've made it. We'll never claim you didn't. The reason we want the .map file along too, is so we can judge your mapping technique. Did you bevel your edges and that stuff.

As far as I know, ModsOnline will release a map pack with the maps in them after the contest is done, just to show everybody the (best?) entries.

Okay that's what I thought but I just wanted to make sure. After all if I'm spending months working on a map I want to make sure it's still mine.
