because that is what we have chosen to do...for no other reason than that
Quote:
- why are we not allowed to submit released maps
this puts mappers on a level playing field...if you have a map 90% done and wish to enter it - then great - but for everyone else this gives them roughly the same build time
Quote:
- who are the people that get our .map files
the judges of the contest have access to the .map file - and as i recall last time a fairly significant portion of the scoring was based on compile errors and mapping techniques
Quote:
- is'nt it a bit unfair having a choice of 2 games in the competition as 1 game might be easier to map for as it has better textures, better looking models .etc
both games use the radiant based tools for mapping, so there is hardly a cause for concern there

Quote: Maps sent in must be bug free (We just don’t have the time to bug test them for you). Any bugs found will count against the score. Average fps, with a complete and detailed Readme (You can use the Readme Creator at MODSonline.com, must accompany the map. With your submission you must also include a correct shipping address (Your Complete Home Address) so we can send your prize, should you win, without delay. Prizes not collected within 30 days will be resubmitted to the next contest.
Does this mean north americans only? Or are people from the rest of the world allowed to compete aswell |

We couldn't care less where you live as long as you understand that we can't garrantee what happens to that prize after it's been sent out. The best we can do is make sure that we have your correct shipping address.
Cheers
