I have a question, is it only maps that are started within the contest days? i cant really think of a way to prove when they were started but it seems a bit unfair if some people have been working on a map for months and can just turn that in as their map. just wondering, and if not, looks like I'm just gonna have to work extra hard.
G'day
Haha, my bad. I misread the rules and thought it was due by the 30th of January but it turns out its June. Good. I was a little bit worried about making a map in under a month.

CoD UO is not included in the contest trust me I would have mentioned it if it was. Single player maps are also allowed to be entered in the contest.
Without giving out to much info there are plans for UO in the future but not right now. Also plans are in the making for a Moderator mapping challenge but I'm not going any further on these two topics.
@ The Caretaker - Not sure what your saying here buddy. If it has to do with the handing in of the .map files and security. This has been beaten to death. If the mapper doesn't want to hand it in then it's a simple matter of not entering the contest. We need them to critique mapping technique and they won't be given away.
Anything else need mentioning troops?
Cheers

As long as the maps haven't been given away to download sites such as SoF2Files or CoDfiles etc. Then so be it finish them off and enter them within the time frame.

I was merely pointing out the .map file won't be handed over to just anybody, but to the modsonline staff... who (in my personal opinion) can be trusted not to mess with it (too much :p)

I been working on a lovely HUGE multi gametype, (actually every gametype), map with techno and am near completeing it. Also, an SP aswell, also with help from the mighty techno... (man wot a guy i wanna be like hi.. wait no scrub that. hes ok ![[wave]](images/BBCode/smilies/wave.gif) )
And have just learned that its for NORMAL CoD only???????
Who still plays that since UO and CoD2 have come out????
Months of planning, building, swearing, error fixing, crashes on Graydient, more swearing and the amount of flatscreens i've had to get as i've put my fist threw a couple??
and i cant enter these to beauts into the bloddy competition. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Some 1 needs to pay dearly?? ![[evil]](images/BBCode/smilies/evil.gif) ![[2guns]](images/BBCode/smilies/2guns.gif) |
