I want to make a WW1 french blue uniform for COD/COD2.



How do I do?

I only want to use freeware modeling tools.

I cant find any tutorials about how to make uniforms for COD/COD2.

You can try this tutorial, it for skinning for CoD. If you want to create an entire new 'actor' then im not sure.

as rasta said just change the skin maybe you need yo change the helmet but thats an easy model

But there is something on the top of the helmet. Its not just smooth. I am also going to make a german helmet with a spike on the top, you know the spiked helmets they had in WW1.

The images are in 2D so how do I make that spike or other decorations?

For that you'll have to get hold of a 3d modeling program.

Now.. they are not free.. but Lightray and MilkShape are cheap.

I have milkshape.

And I have the plugin for COD.

But where are the models so I can edit and change them?

helmets also are sepparate models that are added to the actor by scripts so you can just make the model for the helmet and add it to your new skinned actor with the script

if you need a hand with the modeling i might help you

The stock models can't be edited.

You'll have to make your own one from scratch and have it replace on of the stock helmets.

OK.
Suppose I have already made the helmet and exported it via milkshape's plugin for COD.

Then I have a file. Now, what do I do with that file?
How do I apply that helmet to the germans?

then you need to convert it with the converter tool that is with radiant

for adding it to a german is sripting (not my sector)
