Hi all, I was wonderin if one of you could help? I am wanting to change some of the posters and signs in COD2 as I am an admin for a couple of public servers. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have had a look at http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/Skinning_for_Call_of_Duty_2_Tools_Included;52926x%23784097 and found it a bit buggy. Any help would be greatly apresh!!! Thanks for your time

I could be wrong here, but I dont think you can do that until the cod2 radient comes out, as usually the signs and poster are brushes with textures added from within the radient editor.

You can.. by extracting the original textures, altering them and adding them to your own custom .iwd file. That's what those iwi2dds and dds2iwi converters can be used for.. however.. because the iwi files contain more than just the texture itself I'm not sure what would happen with the shader of the .iwi file.

what you need to do is make a dds file ( using photoshop is handiest ) and then use the converter to change to iwi. then , name the dds a dif name to the sign u want , but it has to have the same number of characters in its name. then use a hex editor to open the file in the material folder that corresponds to the sign u want to change and then change the last part to the name of ur changed iwi , DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE. then just wrap it up in an iwd file ( materials , image and i am not sure but i think that gametype script ) and ur done.
