Im wondering if anyone here could tell me how to change a maps season? For example, there is winter conversions of levels such as Brecourt, Neuville, Bogart, and an Autumn conversion of Hurtgen. Just wondering if anyone in here can tell me how they do that? Im trying to convert a UO map into a winter version. I was thinking of using a BSP editor to change certain things such as the "minen" signs, but what about the whole rest of the map? Do I have to go and get the .dds's used in that level and make them look "winter'ry" or is there something simple that could be done? Thanks for any help!

those alterations where done by changing the textures used in the level.

You can add snow/rain effects and alter the fog level with scripting.

how can I change the textures in a level? Is it hard to do/learn? I usually skin, so im curious about that

ok, so I tried taking the .bsp and put it in notepad, where it had the textures call's listed. So I found the call for one of the textures i was goign to change to see how it would work. However, know when I attempt to load the changed .bsp, I am getting a "map has the wrong version number.(538976315 should be 59)" any ideas?

did you by any chance edit it the stock map inside the stock pk3?

Editting the actual structure of a compiled version of the map(.bsp) is impossible. Thats why you are getting that error.
