MP_AQUITAINE_FINAL


Hey guys, i thought i would give you a little preview of my coming map to see what you all think. I would really appreciate any comments you have, both positive and negative!

Map Description
----------------------------

This map is set in a french countryside location of aquitaine, specifically designed for
search and destroy gametype. Allies must advance up a open slope to take control of a small
german occupied village. German fources will not give up this position lightly as it has strategic
importance, with a good line of sight over surrounding areas, the allies will not come as a surprise!

Pic 1 - View looking up toward the axis controled town.


Pic 2 - View of the latest addition and new main allies spawn for CTF.


Pic 3 - Axis have prepared a small bunker to defend the advance of allies troops up the left of the map.


Pic 4 - Another picture of the main allies CTF spawn surroundings.


Pic 5 - A view looking up toward the small axis town from further back.




The map is mainly complete, though i keep adding more and more so the map has already doubled to its original size plan! And you may be thinking 'Where is the rain?' Well the anwser is as the rain spawns with the player it wont show as a spectator, so it is there but as i took the screenies from spectate...

The main 'time conssuming' job is portalling now (which i hate), as you may see from the screenies my fps is around 100+ in portalled areas but can drop to as low as 30 in places!

Looking good mate, the atmosphere has changed a hell of alot from the beta[eek]



I think im gonna have to play the final in game to see which atmosphere i prefered, but apart from that so far so good.

Well i lost the original .map file. So i basically built the skybox and large part of the map again, lucky i had a back-up so i could recover a good part of it.

I havnt touched the S&D targets, only moved the spawns to a new location. But i will get hold of you if needed, thanks for the offer!

Sweet map. I really like the water on the road. the mortarts are preety cool. but the bunker could use a touch up.
