Then you got people creating maps that don't include a readme file to take credit for their work. That happens quite frequently. And if the .map file is included in the zip file they could be offering their work to anyone that wanted it to modify or claim as they see fit.

I understand the readme. That should always be present. But as far as including the .map file.... how can that be any worse than what is happening now. We know who originally created the map file... so what if someone else get's their hands on it at this point?

It doesn't matter if he has released the map already. Its disgraceful that some one can have the cheak to do that! I read it this morning, saw it and wrote a very stern email just to put him in his place, which from his reply, i got the point across. And the point i got across was the fact that R&R\|Annoyed put proberly 150+ work hours into that map. Claiming it was his takes the credit away from the original author for all this time and effort put in and gives ALL the credit straight to this "guy" (using speach marks cause u can compare the person to a gentleman after the con he tried to pull), and all he done was 5 mins work to make it look like his. So, to answer your question nothing would happen, put there is more at stake than who released it. think about who made it and how annoyed it makes them.
