Hey, Well to sucessfully make maps you do need radient, but if you dont want any (well, almost) any problems you need to follow the tutorial found here: http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-231.html And Here: http://www.modsonline.com/Tutorials-read-289.html happy mapping,

I would like to add that there are two versions. Radiant, for CoD maps and Graydiant for UO maps. Make sure you download the correct one.

JBD, if you are new at mapping or using graydiant (I know I am) there are many fine tutorials on this sight. Use the serach function for specific problematic questions but live in the tutorials section for a while. Definitely download the videos that show you HOW to use the editor before you start getting into the "make water", make roads" sort of video. In simple terms, start at the beginning, take baby steps and soon you will be giving all of us a nice map to view and maybe play on.
