Why dont IW come up with a response to our questions regarding the map editor? Why dont they tell us if or when they are going to release it?

I have tried emailing them - but no answer.

Then I have noticed that they have been up for something like hiring new game designers. On their website there is a lot about that they are going to hire new game designers, so I thought I would write an email to them and tell them I was interested and asked about information about it, not because I am really interested, but just to see if there is any response at all from IW.

But no response.

It is like everything from IW is dead, gone, closed down.

Personally I think that the IW website is going to close down when the owners forget to pay their bill for their domain name, because there seems no response at all. Not a single response.

I think IW closed down and its employers retired after the huge amount of money they got from COD 2.

they didn't respond about the editor becaues they probobly have no information to give on it. it's a work in progress. they don't know when it will be done.

as for the job. chances are since you are not a professional they knew that the e-mail was a fake...

Back to reality (dull though it is)

COD has 1,099,004 players online, I think that any individual may have problems attempting direct contact with them over game related issues.

I'm sure that it will all work itself out in time.

Just try to remember that we are all at the whims of the Great Magnet.

This thread is going nowhere BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I see going on with the editor is this.
They built the damn game with THE editor. Right!!!!!!!!!! So we know the editor is good enough to design the levels for COD2. Right!!!!!!!
So, the only holdup could be is that they are removing code from the editor so we won't have all the goodies you see in the game.

thIS FREAKIN STRIKE IS MAKING PEOPLE QUIT IW!!!!! If i knew i put out a stink bomb i would quit well all the striking is holding down the map editor people are all like WE NEEED A PATCH but what in the patch this is driving me out of my mind!!!! I really cant stand when people buy a game and start barking at it. I would not support the strike if i owned a server. It freakin stupid if the people would stop flodding IW or Activition with crap they would be able to make the freakin map editor or the patch.

these people in clans are so stupid IW would care less if everyone shuts down servers. They already have the money. if i knew my game was about to basically leave existence i would just quit and saw well your stuck with that or what was already there!!!

perhaps it is as simple as they want to provide some documentation and support for this SDK that they are being criticized for not providing for the last one....hmmmmm?

That would be a step in a positive direction...

i hope they remove the ability to add ambient smoke to custom maps... every single stock map has it and it's damned annoying. i would hate to think that would be in the editor and every custom would have the same annoying crap.
