Last week, id Software wanted so badly to have the demo out to everyone in the US for the Thanksgiving Holiday. However in all the rushing to get things done, a bug was found in the multiplayer portion of the demo and the entire thing was held back. Expect the demo to be finalized and released very soon. hehe. It used to be the demo was out some time before the release of the retail version. That makes sense. lol I was hoping to play some Q4 online with DSL but you know that story. Oh well maybe next year. I did download your Q4 tute today and the SDK. Hope I can load it up this week and tinker a bit.

Hi J.P. I had already bought it a while back. I don't know where those developers minds are at. If you got a complete game out why not just rip a level or two out of the finished product and call it a demo. Very simple.

A simple idea with a complex problem. I could download maps from my friends and wind up with a free copy of the game. measures need to be taken that prevent the demo from becoming a free copy of the game itself. I'm curious to know if the editor is available in the demo. I think I'll download it to find out.
