How about an all out ban if this fails. Turn our backs on COD2 & post our valid CD keys to hurt their bottom line?

This will not help anything. All it will do is hurt the future development of PC games.

the pcgamer is hard to please - and these days expects instant gratification

damn tooting we are. but then again, u dont hear us complaining about games like f.e.a.r. that use good original ideas or even hl2 which actually significantly improves from its predicessor.

Having just read all 20 pages over at IW forum, I'm baffled at why the strike.

1st they say there are bugs and no anticheat, yet when some say just wait it's only been a month that patches take awhile to get tested, those people are told the strike is NOT about bugs and no AC but about lack of support for 2 years.

I am a beta tester for the COD series and I can tell you that it does take awhile to test a patch, WHY - because the patch has to address all or at least most bugs so as the community won't whine when released.

As for the lack of support, I don't see where that came from. What lack?

IW and Activision are not in the modding game so they should not give support.

As for lack of AC, any of you play America's Army? They use PB and that game is notorious for cheaters, yet there has never been a call for a strike.

Also with AAO, they NEVER announce a patch or a release date on same. Why is that, because if they failed to meet the release date there would be holocaust LOL.

I think this whole idea about striking by shutting down servers will accomplish nothing at all.

It's started by a bunch of kids who want changes but are too impatient to wait.

I didn't post this in the IW forums as every post that doesn't agree with the strike gets deleted and the poster banned.

ONE thing, the strike doesnt hurt act. or iw. if they are in it for the money, and got what they want, and are done with the consumer, this wont even be noticed. If they cared about the consumer, they would repond. I dont know how but at least respond. So, if a strike will get their attention to actually just answer simple appropriate questions, merely communicate, then it will do something. Because they say nothing, it gives the appearance that they dont give a . For example, the one and only thing i want to see answered is when to expect a map tool. A date = great, a estimate = cool, a general idea/guess = it'll do, silence = screw u too, u lazy game makers, with your redone same old maps, at least let me do something since you didnt.
any of that make any sense. if not, good. if so, you may be crazy like me. either way, iw or act. a simple "hello, here's the deal..." will do.
