How are people making CoD2 maps?with out the tool?

I'm pretty sure people are starting them in CoD's or UO's editors, planning on porting them over when CoD2's tools are released.

that is correct - use the editor for cod (radiant) and only use the basic construct textures - as all other textures do not exist in cod2

iwiw files can't be opened yet without a plugin. We'll have to wait for it.. Also.. the iwi files are textures. So you can't map yet even if you do manage to open them
