Hi folks, I have just bought COD2 in Spain and expected to be able to choose between language, but NO: it's all in Spanish and sounds really daft, if you know what I mean. Does anybody know what files must be changed in order for the game to work in English and could anybody PLEASEPLEASE send me these files? krautwiggle@web.de Thanx and good gaming

Are you sure when you install it you cant choose 'english'? I can't remember but normally you have an option of which language you want to install in..

Hey Rasta nope, it jumps right to installation and installs in directory. I've checkedf the DVD - all u find are the Spanish files. If u got the game, check in the COD2 file in the "main" subfile - thewre's some localized_english....iwd files. Those are theone that I probably need.

OK. You have a problem because you have the spanish version? When i buy a game [most off the time online] i check which language version it is. There is also differences in versions: CD Version DVD Version DVD Extended edition and there is the Multilanguage Version. So you have to get change the "localized_spanish" files for the "localized_english" but this is almost 1.6 GB.

From what I understand, sending files of the game is illegal if you don't have consent from the publisher. Therefore, unless you have the option of changing the langauge with the game you have, it isn't possible for anyone to send you the english files legally.

Yes this is true the only option is to buy an english version or the multilanguage.

"krautwiggle" As i did try to explain which version's there are for sale and check before you buy a game which language it's in. This is written on the box you know. And if you buy online they tell you which language version it has. You did not buy the multilanguage edition because you can't change the language to english can you. So go buy you an english copy or the multilanguage one then your problem is solved instead starting an post if someone has the files for you. Because this is illegal like "supersword" wrote.
